Sacramento Republic FC is Hiring an Accounting Manager (Temporary Role) Near Sacramento, CA
The Accounting Manager will work closely with the accounting team to perform full life-cycle accounting, cash management, financial reporting, budgets and maintenance of accounting systems and processes. The Accounting Manager will assist with all facets of accounting, budgeting and internal controls and provide analysis. The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Human Resources Director to assist with payroll and benefits management, and will be responsible for recording payroll and benefits transactions in the company books.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform A/P, A/R, credit card reconciliation, financial analysis, cash management and banking functions in QuickBooks and Bill.com.
- Together with the Human Resources Director, accurately record all payroll related transactions in QuickBooks using reports from Paylocity and Excel worksheets.
- Manage monthly wage reporting for Workers Comp, Player Union Dues, and Bureau of Labor Statistics.
- Provide financial support to functional managers through reporting, budgeting and analysis.
- Together with President & GM and functional managers, coordinate preparation of annual budget.
- Participate in quality control procedures by reviewing documents and transactions to ensure accuracy of information and calculations, investigating and correcting inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.
- Support month-end close out processes.
- Maintain filing and orderliness of overall accounting department. Provide input into process improvements to accounting systems and procedures. Manage ad hoc projects assigned by the senior management team.

- A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) Area of Study: Accounting.
- Years of related work experience: 4 Years.
- High level of integrity and discretion with regard to confidential and privileged information.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
- Proficient with QuickBooks desktop and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with payroll systems and reporting.
